Events have to run on a fixed budget, as the amount you will receive from profits, donations, and sponsors is limited. It is crucial to determine the items to purchase and plan accordingly, leaving room for emergency funds — things can and will go wrong. For example, you may drop a supply and break it. The best way to plan finances is through a spreadsheet, as it allows you to use the "SUM(range)" feature to add up costs accurately. Don't forget to include the HST or other applicable taxes.
