Helena Jaczek

The Honourable Dr. Helena Jaczek was elected to serve as the Member of Parliament for Markham—Stouffville in 2019 and was re-elected in 2021. She is currently on the Standing Committee on Science and Research and is Chair of the Parliamentary Health Research Caucus. During her 18 years in that role, she was responsible for public health, land ambulance and long-term care in a region of more than one million people. 

Aldrin Fernando

School Principal

Aldrin Fernando was the principal of Bayview Secondary School since March 2014. He previously was the Vice Principal since 2006, before which he studied from Western University and the University of Toronto. His core values of connecting with the students and staff has helped the school build a community which includes a variety of linguistic and cultural backgrounds. The school’s motto is “A Diverse Community Learning Together”.

Michael Parsa

Provincial Parliament of Ontario

Michael Parsa was elected as the Member of Provincial Parliament for the riding of Aurora-Oak Ridges-Richmond Hill in. Previously, he served as Associate Minister of Housing, and has held various positions within the legislature. In March 2023, he was appointed as Minister of Children, Community, and Social Services by Premier Doug Ford. His mission is to build a community where every individual is valued, supported, and empowered to reach their full potential.
