Summer Jobs 2023

The Canadian Youth Champions (CYC) is funded by the federal government's Canada Summer Jobs Program.​  We are seeking interested youths to join our team of dedicated and passionate individuals who are about the success of our community.
 
In 2022, we offered 18 paid positions.
Most positions start in May. Submit your CV to be considered.

To Be Eligible

  • 15 to 30 years old​

  • Self-starter with ability to work independently.

  • Comfortable with multitasking in a deadline-driven environment.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Creative problem-solving skills.

  • Demonstrate a passion for community service

  • Positive Attitude

  • An eagerness to learn

Administrative Assistant

  • Assist and report to the Director of Education
     

  • Help schedule meetings &  interviews with external stakeholders
     

  • Follow-up with correspondence
     

  • Help research on education related matter

Social Media

Assistant

  • Assist and report to the Director of Marketing
     

  • Responsible for managing CYC's social media platforms
     

  • Help develop creative content to support the social media plan

Program

Assistant

  • Assist and report to the Director of Education
     

  • Provide support services that maximize student learning experience.
     

  • Assist in planning and organizing program details.

Operations

Assistant

  • Assist and report to the Director of Operations
     

  • Help schedule and prepare internal CYC meetings
     

  • Responsible for organizing the  agenda, take meeting minutes, and help with post meeting follow-ups. 

Digital Marketing

Assistant

  • Assist and report to the Director of Marketing
     

  • Responsible for managing CYC's website and email list.
     

  • Work closely with the Communications and Social Media teams

IT

Assistant

  • Assist and report to the Director of Operations
     

  • Responsible for monitoring and maintaining our IT systems and network.
     

  • Assist all IT related matters

Communications Assistant

  • Assist and report to the Director of Communications
     

  • Responsible for external stakeholders correspondence
     

  • Identify potential partnerships with other like-minded organizations

Virtual Event

Coordinator

  • Assist and report to the Director of Operations
     

  • Responsible for setting up and managing CYC hosted events via the Zoom platform.
     

  • Help create memorable virtual experiences for our participants
